Kalahari Safaris – Rent – A – Driver
is a new but simple concept that makes your holidays as carefree as possible.
We offer two different services:
- you rent a car fro a preferred car rental agency and we provide an experienced driver/guide.
- we provide both, the vehicle and the experienced driver/guide.
The drivers:
- have a valid public drivers license.
- are licensed to drive heavy vehicles.
- are familiar with Southern Africa.
- are registered guides
- have at least 10 years of accident-free driving experience
Available vehicles:
- Condor Toyota 6 seaters + trailer
- Toyota 14 seaters + trailer
Our rates:
- driver/guide only: R 990 per day
- driver/guide plus Condor and trailer: R 2495 per day
- driver/guide plus 14 seater Toyota and trailer: R 5500 per day
Rates for rentals are charged at a 3 day minimum. Any other number of days please request a quote.
All rates include 14% VAT as well as:
- UNLIMITED mileage,
- fuel,
- oil,
- FULL vehicle insurance and
- limited passenger liability.
Insurance:
You are requested to take out additional personal accident insurance as well as luggage insurance in your country of residence. Our driver will meet you at UPINGTON AIRPORT or at you hotel / guesthouse in Upington. This is where your trip begins and ends. Should you prefer to be picked up or dropped off at any other city in South Africa, additional charges may be charged according to distance traveled.
In addition to these rates you must provide throughout the trip for the driver . Guide a single room at the same hotel you are staying as well as all meals.
Additional information and conditions:
- By cars rented from your chosen car rental company: Once we have confirmed the reservation we will email you the rental contract for driver/guide which we ask you to sign and fax back to us. When you rent a car from a car rental agency our driver must be listed on the rental contract as driver. This rental contract is between you and the car rental company. In addition passenger insurance must be taken out at your expense. As far as vehicle insurance is concerned it is up to your discretion but highly recommended. None of our drivers nor any other employee or Kalahari Safaris can be held liable for any vehicle
damage, theft of loss of vehicle or luggage or any injuries or death caused by any circumstances whatsoever.
- By cars and driver/guide rented from Kalahari Safaris: Once we have confirmed the reservation we will email you the rental contract for vehicle with driver or just for the driver, which we will ask you to sign and fax back to us. One of the conditions stipulates that you are required to take out personal accident and luggage insurance in your country of residence. We expressly advise that none of our drivers or any other employee of Kalahari Safari or the Company
itself are liable for loss or theft of luggage or injury or death caused by any circumstances whatsoever. Vehicle insurance is included, therefore you are NOT liable for any vehicle damage or loss.
